It is only after one is in trouble that one realizes how little sympathy and kindness there are in the world.
Energy rightly applied and directed will accomplish anything.
Sports do not build character. They reveal it.
Nellie Bly was the pen name for Elizabeth Cochran who became an accidental journalist after submitting a critical reply to a sexist op-ed piece in a Pittsburgh newspaper. The editor was impressed by her writing and recruited her as an investigative reporter in 1886.
Her life inspired the character of Lois Lane by DC Comics.
