Inspired By: Baroness Karen Christenze von Blixen-Finecke (a.k.a. Isak Dinesen)
The cure for anything is salt water — sweat, tears, or the sea.
Difficult times have helped me to understand better than before, how infinitely rich and beautiful life is in every way, and that so many things that one goes worrying about are of no importance whatsoever.
When you have a great and difficult task, something perhaps almost impossible, if you only work a little at a time, every day a little, suddenly the work will finish itself
Karen Blixen is best known for the novel Out Of Africa as well as the short story Babette’s Feast, both of which became Academy-Award winning films. She wrote under the name Isak Dinesen because the publisher refused to give her an advance and opposed the use of pseudonyms.
